Should we separate environmental issues from political issues? If so,how?

The difference between a politician and a scientist is that the former will tell you what you want to hear and the later will tell you what the truth is. So how do we change this absurd situation where the truth is being corrupted for political gain? We all know that our existence on Earth using polluting machines is degrading the land, sea and air with toxic chemicals, but as our global populations increase, how can we teach and learn ways to co exist with our planet in such a way as to preserve the beauty and health of the environments we live in?

Cute quips aside, scientists aren't immune from corruption. Scientists are powered by the same thing powers politicians: money. Scientific studies have a funny way of coinciding with the opinion of whoever commissions them. I'm not saying that I don't believe we're harming the planet, but let's at least be honest with ourselves. Scientists will tell you that smoking is fine one decade and deadly the next.

Most everything in this world is %26quot;political%26quot;. That's why the great ones used to be referred to as %26quot;statesmen%26quot;.
Kill any talk of Cap and Tax and any government funding of %26quot;green%26quot; projects, studies, money holes, and scams and then we can talk. And the worst money grubbers in history are those like AlGore who have used fraudulent science to fool people into a panic about Global Warming. Wake up. There are scientists who are nothing but political tools - and they like it.
