If the leading cause of bankruptcy are medical costs, why would we stay under the current system?

If you know that it%26#039;s only a matter of statistics that you will have a son or daughter who will could come down with a disease like cancer and you%26#039;ll be told by your insurance companies that they can only cover certain procedures for a limited time span (i.e. covering physical therapy for 6 months).

If your kid is not better by then, than you will have to pull out your wallet and pay up. It%26#039;s not like you don%26#039;t have job. But, that%26#039;s exactly how people go bankrupt everywhere here in America.

Why would you not want to change that situation. You%26#039;d rather play your odds under our existing system?|||Why is the only answer for you liberals a government run system that has failed everywhere it%26#039;s been tried ? What%26#039;s wrong with reforming the current system ? Or are you that insistent on spending trillions of dollars we don%26#039;t have in the worst recession with the lowest tax revenue since the great depression ? God bless.|||The only reason I can think of is that Democrats refuse to reform the legal system that is responsible for driving up health care costs. They are protecting their trial lawyer donors.|||Seems to me that under the current system we at least have the option to treat them. Under the quota system we have no options, just government mandated services. Like social security and other government run businesses.|||dont listen to the mindless gop babble

the gov opiotn is coming

and the crooked gop insurance lobby FEARS COMPTETITON

ha ha ha hahah

but its ok to outsoruce american jobs for competition

gop double standards|||If the leading cause of bankruptcy is medical costs, why would we want the government to go further in the hole than it is already?

Would you want the government essentially deciding who lives and dies? Could that eventually be used to ensure compliance with the government monopoly through a veiled threat of denying healthcare?

Healthcare has BEEN an issue for years, why must we turn into a nationalized system overnight? We%26#039;re in a recession, so why are we looking for programs to SPEND money on, when Keynesian economics don%26#039;t work?
