Help me find my mistakes , grammatical... and other?

In this world that we live in, nothing remains the same. Through time, things change as well as situations and people. Some things might take a very long time before changing while other might change in just a second. As in “ A %26amp; P” by John Updike it did not take much time for Sammy to change and realize what he really wants and Sylvia in “The lesson” to learn about the world she did not know exist

In this world that we live in--redundant, just should be %26quot;In this world%26quot;

nothing remains the same. Through time, things change as well as situations and people.--try %26quot;things, situations, and people all change%26quot;

Some things might take a very long time before changing while other(s) might change in just a second.--confused, needs a rewrite

As (insert name of character or event and what happened) in “A %26amp; P” by John Updike(,) it (does) not take much time for Sammy to change and realize what he really wants and(nor) Sylvia in “The lesson” to learn about the world she did not know exist(ed).

I think the last word should be %26quot;existed.%26quot;
while others*

wants, and Sylvia*

existed*

There are a few commas you could add as well.. but it depends on your teachers preference.
WITH time, things change AS DO situations and people

some things MAY take very long

realize what he really WANTED

and sylvia in the lesson LEARNED ABOUT the world she did now know EXISTED
In the 3rd sentence, put a comma after %26quot;changing%26quot; - you don't really have to.

In the 4th sentence, after %26quot;Updike%26quot; put a comma.

In the 4th sentence, when you wrote %26quot;and Sylivia,%26quot; it's a run-on sentence, so make that a seperate sentence.

Last word--change to existED

:)
In this world that we live in nothing remains the same. Throughout time things change as well as situations and people do. Some things might take a very long time before changing while others might change in just a second. A great example of this is told in %26quot;A%26amp;P%26quot; by John Updike; it did not take much time for Sammy to change and realize what he really wanted was for sylvia in %26quot;The lesson%26quot; to learn about the world she did not know existed.
'others' instead of 'other'

'existed' instead of 'exist'

You shouldn't start a sentence with 'As in%26quot;

There's a major glitch in the second sentence. What kinds of 'things' change? You talk about situations changing and people changing, and that certainly happens, but what 'things' are you talking about?

In the world that we live in, nothing remains the same. Through time, situations change, circumstances change, and people change.

Sometimes change takes a very long time, but sometimes the change happens in seconds. In %26quot;A%26amp;P%26quot; by John Updike, it did not take much time for Sammy to change and realize what he really wanted, or for Sylvia, in %26quot;The Lesson%26quot; (author?) to learn about the world she did not know existed.

-Some sentences sounded like they mixed up what kind of tense you were using, whether singular or plural.

-A couple of times the sentence mixed up present or past.

-Was The lesson with Sylvia a book? Should you mention the author? If it was, lesson should be capitalized. If they are two separate sources, should the sentence be split?

Overall, it looks like a good paragraph with a couple minor mistakes. I take it this is for school? I think you'll get a good grade. Good luck! :-D

As in 'A %26amp; P', by John Updike; It did not take Sammy much time to change and realize what he really wanted.

As in 'The lesson'; Sylvia learned about the world she knew not of existence.

Re-read and re-write - if necessary - what you have written, once a week, until it reads quick and smooth.

After 2 months of weekly readings, you aught to have it polished.

'Frustrating' ...But that's Writing.
