How would the world situation change, if at all?
If every branch of the US armed forces ceased to exist except Nuclear Armed subs?
We would have a nearly useless military,good only for nuclear war.
We have a mix and balance of forces for a reason.

There would be no more U.S.
We would be invaded I'm sure, they know we wouldn't use nukes on our own soil.
They'd think we lost our minds! The arms race would start up again big time.
You would still need the infantry to march up to ground zero and take possession of the occupied area! Even though it would only be glass and ashes!
It would leave the US open to land invasion or air strikes without any way to defend itself. I doubt even the Yanks would start launching nuclear missiles at themselves to fight off a land invasion!!!
